About Our Parish
Rooted in Anglican tradition, serving coastal Nova Scotia with faith, hope, and love since 2005.
Our Story
A shared parish united in mission and ministry
The Parish of Musquodoboit is a vibrant Anglican community that brings together six historic churches across the Musquodoboit and Ship Harbour regions of Nova Scotia. As a shared parish within the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, we are united in our commitment to worship, fellowship, and service.
Our parish represents a rich tapestry of coastal communities, each with its own unique character and history. From the bustling harbour of Musquodoboit to the quiet beauty of Oyster Pond, our churches have served as spiritual anchors for generations of families who have called this region home.
As a registered charity (868945098RR0001), we are committed to serving not only our congregation but the wider community through outreach, pastoral care, and community engagement. We believe that the church exists not for itself, but to be a beacon of Christ's love in the world.
Our Anglican Heritage
As part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, we are rooted in a rich tradition that values:
- ✝ Scripture: The Bible as the foundation of our faith
- ✝ Tradition: The wisdom of centuries of Christian practice
- ✝ Reason: Thoughtful engagement with faith and life
- ✝ Sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion as means of grace
- ✝ Community: The gathered body of Christ in worship and service
